Oksana Weingardt

Oksana Weingardt began her piano and organ studies at the public conservatory Almaty (Kazakhstan), and continued at the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden, majoring in piano and improvisation and minoring in harpsichord. She then followed a postgraduate course from which she gratuated with honors as concert pianist. She took masterclasses with Professor Detlef Kaiser, Professor Jacques Rouvier, and Professor Peter Feuchtwanger, as well as with Professor James Tocco in Essen as part of the scholarship that was awarded to her by the Klavierfestival Ruhr. She was also awarded the Carl Maria von Weber scholarship by the Foundation for Music and Culture Dresden.

Weingardt won Second Prize and the Durlet Award at the International Emmanuel Durlet Piano Competition in Antwerp.

Since 1999, she is a lecturer for piano at the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden. Besides her concert work as a chamber musician, she has also released several CDs and radio productions.
