Martina Gedeck

Martina Gedeck completed her acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar at the University of the Arts, Berlin.

She played on various German theaters, including the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Theater am Turm, Frankfurt / M. and the Kammerspiele Hamburg. At the same time, she began making films, including Bella Martha, Hunger for Life, Elementary Particles and The Lives of Others, which won an Oscar in 2007.

Most recently she impressed on stage as Minna von Barnhelm at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.
For many years she has been working for radio and reading audio books.

Martina Gedeck has been honored with all major German film and television awards.
